Do you accept insurance?

Just Once is PRIVATE PAY only at this time.

We can provide you with a Superbill which you may be able to submit to your insurance company to potentially reimburse some or all of the costs of services. Benefits vary across insurance companies, so it would be best for you to give them a call and find out the following information:

  • Will the company accept a “Superbill for Speech Therapy”?

  • What percentage (if any) is reimbursed?

  • What information is required on the Superbill (i.e. diagnostic codes, clinician license number, etc.).?

  • Is an evaluation with standardized scores required to begin services?

  • HOW do I submit my Superbill?

  • How LONG do I have to submit my superbill?

  • Do I need a referral from my pediatrician prior to beginning services?

We are also contracted with the San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) to provide early start services for children from the ages of 0-3. You can learn more and apply for free speech and language services here. Tell your service coordinator our vendor ID number (PY2576) to request for us to be your provider.

For individuals over the age 3, you may qualify for CA Self-Determination Program (SDP) to provide funding for services. More information on SDP can be found here.

We understand that private pay is not always feasible for all families. Please contact us directly if you have any questions about our fees for services.

What are my payment options?

Payment for services is due at the time of services rendered unless otherwise stated in a written agreement.

We accept cash, check, credit card, debit card, or HSA/FSA card.

What is your availability for sessions?

Just Once is open Mondays-Fridays from 8:30AM-6PM. We serve different areas around San Diego, so our availability for scheduling sessions might depend on your location.

What about a Good Faith Estimate (GFE)?

Under the law, health care organizations need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services called a “Good Faith Estimate” or a GFE.

While it is not possible for a speech-language pathologist to know, in advance, how many sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, a GFE provides an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of therapy sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you. This estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from the provider(s) listed, nor does it include any services rendered to you that are not identified here. Most clients will attend 1 therapy session per week, but the frequency of sessions that are appropriate in your case may be more or less than once per week, depending upon your needs.

  • You have the right to receive a GFE for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care organization gives you a GFE in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare organization, and any other organization you choose, for a GFE before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your GFE, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your GFE.

You are encouraged to speak with your provider at any time about any questions you may have regarding your treatment plan, or the information provided to you in this GFE.

For questions or more information about your right to a GFEe, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

Good Faith Estimates will provided to you upon initiation of therapy sessions.
